Main sitting · In person, six Thursday evenings
Cycle Identification Intensive
Six Thursday evenings on a single market. You leave with a marked cycle map and a paper journal you can keep after the room goes quiet.
The intensive is the academy’s main sitting. It is built for someone who has watched a market long enough to care, and who is tired of renaming every pause as a new trend.
Each person works one market for the whole six weeks. Gold stays gold. A SET name stays that name. Switching in week four throws away the count the room has been checking.
Printed sheets are clipped to a board. The copper lamp is for the paper, not for a screen. You write the week-count in the margin yourself so the number is yours when you get home.
On the last Thursday you stand at the board only long enough to show the map and the cancellation mark. There is no certificate hour and no prize for the smoothest story. A count that still has a hole in it is a better last evening than a tidy speech.
Who it is for
Adults who already follow one market — a name on the SET, gold, or a currency pair — and want a disciplined way to say which part of the cycle they are looking at.
What you leave with
A written map for that one market, with accumulation, advance, distribution, and decline marked in pencil, plus a cancellation mark: the price or the week-count that would retire the reading.
Included
- Six evenings in the Silom room with a reserved seat
- Printed weekly and daily sheets for the market you named
- Board work led by the principal instructor
- Pair review on the third and fifth evenings
- A blank journal with columns for swing age, last cycle length, and the cancellation mark
Outside this sitting
- Instructions to buy or sell
- A second market inside the same cohort
- Remote attendance or a recording of the evening
- Introductions to brokers or fund managers
Who leads it
Niran Sutham leads every evening. Elise Marlow joins the desk on the second and fifth Thursdays to review journals.
How the time is spent
-
Thursday 1
Naming a swing. You mark two troughs and the crest between them, then count the weeks. Argument about the next move waits until a swing actually exists on the sheet.
-
Thursday 2
Time beside price. A long swing can travel a short distance, and a short swing can travel far. The journal gets a second column so those two facts are not mashed into one adjective.
-
Thursday 3
Accumulation against a pause. A range that absorbs supply behaves differently from a rest in the middle of an advance. This is the evening most people ask to hear twice.
-
Thursday 4
Distribution. Late crests, a push that fails back into the range, and the first sign that an advance is tired without anyone needing a slogan for it.
-
Thursday 5
Decline and reset. Markdown on the weekly sheet, and what a new trough needs before anyone restarts the count.
-
Thursday 6
Your map. You present the count for your market. The room’s only required question is what would cancel it.
Before you come
Choose one market before the first Thursday and tell the desk its name. Bring a pencil and an eraser. If you already keep two years of weekly bars, bring them. If you do not, the academy prints the sheets.
Limits
Twelve seats. Instruction is in English. You attend in person. The sitting teaches identification of cycles; orders, if any, are placed by you outside the academy.
The next step
Write to the desk, name the Cycle Identification Intensive, and offer a month you can keep free on Thursdays. A seat is confirmed by email before any fee is taken as final.
